·        Items admitted conditionally – items whose importation into the country is allowed with the term if a document issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country is presented.    

·        Items admitted without conditions – items whose import into the country is allowed.

Part II:
Conditions of admission of articles imported or in transit
 
 
1Animals, animal foodstuffs and products or animal origin
 
For the import of food products a certificate of food control must be presented, issued by the relevant authority of the country of origin, certifying that the products are fit for human consumption, and confirmed by an official certificate from the Ministry
of Social Welfare and Public Health.
 
 
2. Plants and plant products
 
Plants, fruits, seeds and other vegetable products in a putrefied condition or containing microbes or parasites declared injurious to health by the authorities of the Ministry of Rural and Agricultural Affairs (Ministerio de Asuntos Campesinos
y Agrapecuarios) may not be imported.
 
 
3. Beverages, alcoholic liquids
 
Beverages in a putrefied condition, adulterated or containing microbes or injurious to health may not be imported.
 
 
4. Pharmaceutical products
 
Medicines included in the reregisters of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Public Health under the following pharmaceutical headings may be imported:
–   serums;
–   vaccines;
–   biological cultures for research;
–   syringes and needles for medical purposes and which are not available on the market.
 
 
5. Chemical matches
 
Matches may only be imported in regulation packaging respecting security measures.
 
 
6. Worn clothing and used rags
 
Worn clothing and used rags may be imported only upon presentation of a health certificate of origin. Personal effects may be imported.
 
 
7. Glasses and articles oglass
 
Glass and articles of glass may be imported only if they are perfectly packaged and have a guarantee of origin.

Special provisions, Customs and other
 
 
1. Miscellaneous Customs provisions
 
The postal administration of Bolivia does not accept items containing banknotes, paper moneybank notes, travellers’ cheques, international credit cards, gold, platinum and other securities payable to the bearer.
 
 
2. Admission of small packets
 
Items containing small quantities of goods, products with no commercial value (samples) or items for personal use with low commercial value.
Small packets with a maximum weight of 2 kilogrammes must be admitted in the domestic and international services. They are admitted subject to the use of a CN 22 customs declaration green label,which must contain a detailed description of the contents of the item. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in confiscation of the item by the customs authorities.
